TARIFF UPDATE
The District annually evaluates its Tariff Rules for possible updates or changes based on the business needs. On September 8, 2016 a Tariff Hearing was held. The Board of Trustees approved amendments to Tariff Rules #2, 3, 4, 8, 19, 20, and 21. Amendments to Rule No. 3, 4, 8, and 19 were minor updates to coincide with the District’s daily operations and will not impact District customers. Amendments to Rule 2, 20 and 21 will impact some District customers. Rule No. 2 clarifies what type of water rights the District will accept for development and adoption of a new water right calculation schedule. Amendments to Rule No. 20 regarding multi-unit metered services fr single family dwelling units; allows for the continuation of multi-unit premises to exist, as is, if the multi -unit was established prior to 1998 until such time the unit is removed from premise and/or a legal parcel split. All multi-unit premises established after 1998 will be required to be individually metered. All multi-unit singled metered service accounts must be in the name of person responsible for the main residence. Amendments To Rule No. 21 will affect those customers who are disconnected for non-payment and want their water restored after-hours (weekdays after 4:20 pm, weekends or holidays), the after-hours fee was increased from $20 to $60 effective October 10, 2016. This fee still needs to be paid up front along with the $40 reconnect fee and the past due balance before water will be restored to your property. We encourage our customers to pay their bills prior to the disconnect date listed on both the late notice and then again on the next monthly billing statement, or to call the office to request a payment arrangement prior to water being disconnected.
